Hollywood star and bolt on Old style boy Sir Ian McKellen will star in a West Finish pantomime this Christmas.
The Lord of the Rings star praised the Mom Goose manufacturing as “magical” when it was introduced that he would star within the present, written by Jonathan Harvey and directed by Cal McChrystal.
The acclaimed 83-year-old actor will play the eponymous lead position alongside comic John Bishop as Vic Goose and actor and former Bake-Off presenter Mel Giedroic as Goose.
He added: “It is a severe story advised humourously. It is in regards to the good and the dangerous, and naturally the great at all times wins in a pantomime.

The present will open on the Theater Royal Brighton from 3 to 11 December earlier than a West Finish run on the Duke of York’s Theater from 15 December to 29 January.
It is going to then tour the UK till Easter, visiting Liverpool Empire, Oxford New Theatre, Wales Millennium Middle Cardiff and extra.
