Police have arrested two males following a siege, throughout which a foremost avenue in Melbourne’s southeast was shut down for hours.
The 2 males refused to come back out of a property in Mornington after police tried to arrest them at round 10am following an alleged residence invasion and severe assault in a single day, police stated.
Police imagine one of many males took the opposite hostage, threatening him with a knife and refused to let him go away the property.
The road was then shut down as a hostage group negotiated with the lads. Pedestrians and motorists had been barred from getting into the world in the course of the practically five-hour-long siege.
Police arrested the pair at about 2:45pm, after one of many males emerged from the items.
