24-year-old man arrested after ‘critical assault’ by soccer referee

Police have arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of great assault by a referee.

The incident occurred on Sunday 2 October throughout a Remembrance Cup match between Platt Bridge vs Wigan Rose.
